This means you will end up with nice Debian packages that you can install using dpkg and that integrate well in your current system. The better option might be to build your own binary Debian packages using the source packages that we put up on deb.tpo. You can either build it from the source tarball like a lot of other Unix/Linux software and install it locally. On all systems (at least Linux and macOS) you should be able to use “socks5” proxy. If you want to run newer Tor versions than are available from the Raspbian folks, you will have to build them yourself. Usual solutions involve, on Linux, torsocks. what kind of traffic your apps need? (tcp, udp, what ports?).what threat model answers your wish to use Tor? (this is to make sure it fits, without asking too much details).how did you install the tor software? (only Tor Browser? a system tor?).It is definitely feasible, but very hard to explain without having more details, such as: I mean that if your ISP would pursue you if they find out you use this app, then you should probably find another, more robust solution. If you want these apps to go through Tor because your ISP blocks usage of this app but wont charge you if you do, then you should be fine. What you think if instead I set the only two applications I use on my computer so that they use the Tor network: is it advisable? It is feasible? Are there any applications that don’t allow it? What would the proceedings be?
